Keyword Density Checker

Analyze keyword frequency and density in text.

About This Tool

The Keyword Density Checker analyzes text to calculate the frequency and percentage of each word relative to the total word count. Stop words (the, and, etc.) can be automatically excluded or included.

Keyword density = (keyword count / total words) × 100%. A density of 1–3% for primary keywords is generally considered optimal for SEO. Higher densities risk being flagged as keyword stuffing by search engines.

How to Use

  1. Paste the text you want to analyze into the input field.
  2. Choose whether to include stop words and how many top results to show.
  3. Check total words, unique keywords, and the top keyword in the stats cards.
  4. View each keyword's count, density, and visualization bar in the table.

Use Cases

Used for content analysis for SEO optimization, checking keyword distribution in blog posts or landing pages, competitor content analysis, and analyzing key terms in academic papers.

FAQ

  • What are stop words? Common words with little meaning like "the", "and", "is", "a". They are excluded by default so only meaningful keywords are shown.
  • Can it analyze non-English text? The built-in stop word list is English-based. For other languages, check "Include stop words" to see all words.
  • What density percentage is ideal? A density of 1–3% for primary keywords is generally considered optimal for SEO. Above 5% may be considered excessive.
