About This Tool

The Twitter / X Card Preview shows you how your page will appear when shared on Twitter (now X) and generates the correct meta tags to add to your HTML. Twitter Cards replace plain link text with a rich preview card.

Two card types are supported: Summary with Large Image (full-width banner — most impactful) and Summary (small square thumbnail — good for articles and podcasts).

How to Use

  1. Choose Summary or Summary with Large Image card type.
  2. Fill in the title, description, and optionally an image URL.
  3. The preview updates in real time to show how the card will look.
  4. Copy the generated meta tags and paste them into your HTML head.

Use Cases

Content marketers preview Twitter Cards before campaigns. Developers add meta tags to blog posts and product pages. SEO teams audit existing pages for missing or misconfigured cards.

FAQ

  • Do I need to register with Twitter?Twitter / X no longer requires developer card approval. Just add the meta tags and the card will appear.
  • Can I use the same tags for LinkedIn and Facebook?LinkedIn and Facebook use Open Graph tags (og:title, og:image, etc.), not Twitter Card tags. Use the OG Tag Generator tool for those platforms.
